Brown University has created a health web page that goes into further detail about the psyche behind body image. There are many factors that contribute to the person's perception of his or her body. There are positive and negative types, mainly focusing on the latter.

Dr. Burgard has developed methods to embrace the body and elevate one's mentality into recovering from this body image 'trauma'. There are links that lead to her different methods, some of which include: a dieting detox, links that lead to other help pages, and mental tips to help one prepare for the 'Body Positive' challenge.

Researchers found that BDD and OCD shared a multitude of similar symptoms such as skin-picking, repetitive behavior, and inquiring others for reassurance. A group with the diagnosis of BDD and OCD were compared to another group that was only diagnosed with OCD. The results showed that the group with only OCD soon transferred over to the OCD-BDD group as their BDD had gone unnoticed. The doctors concluded that BDD must be investigated at an earlier age by utilizing early onset symptoms of BDD to properly diagnose the patient.

Mitovich goes into detail on how Disney star Demi Lovato reacted to a scene in a Disney show Shake It Up! and how eating disorders should be taken seriously because it is an issue that many can relate with. Lovato has had a history of battling eating disorders so she is passionate when topics arise that deal with eating disorders, such as a the mishap on the Disney set.

Dove hosted a campaign to promote positive body image. There is a video embedded on the site that has participants describe themselves to an forensic artist, who was only allowed to hear the description. The stark differences from the described portrait to the actual portrait of the participants creates a contrast that portrayed the psyche behind body image.

Sarah, along with her twin, created a poster saying We Are All Wonder Women! with women of all shapes and sizes wearing this costume. These piece is a combination of the Dove campaign and Wonder Woman that empowers women to love themselves. This is positively accepted by the public as it has been sold out numerous times. This is brilliant because this picture took the perfect figure that Wonder Woman has and transformed it to fit every body shape, indicating that everyone is perfect in their own skin.

This site focuses on the negative type of body image that Brown University touched upon called "Body Dysmorphic Disorder" (BDD). There is great detail on the probable causes, effects and treatments for those with BDD.
